ABSTRACT: Strategies for Promoting Interdisciplinary Collaboration in Technical Education are vital for fostering innovation and holistic problem-solving skills among students. This study investigated effective strategies for enhancing interdisciplinary collaboration in technical education settings. The objectives were: to identify the current level of interdisciplinary collaboration in technical education, to explore strategies that promote such collaboration, and to assess the impact of these strategies on educational outcomes. A survey design was utilized to collect data efficiently from a large group of respondents, enabling a thorough analysis of the topic. A sample size of 200 technical education instructors and students was chosen using a purposive sampling technique to ensure participants had relevant interdisciplinary experience. The case study was the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State. Findings showed that interdisciplinary collaboration was enhanced through project-based learning, cross-departmental workshops, and collaborative research projects, leading to improved critical thinking and problem-solving skills among students. It was recommended that technical education institutions should implement structured interdisciplinary programs, encourage faculty collaboration across departments, and provide resources for joint projects and research.
